Arrival and collection of students
Arrival:
Children should not be at school before 8.25am. There is no supervision until this time. It is important that parents bring and collect their children on time. Children who arrive late miss valuable learning experiences, and children who are collected late can become distressed when all other children have left for the day.
Classes start at 8.50am.
All gates except for the main office gate will be closed and locked at 8.50am. Any arrivals after this time will require a late note from the office.
In the interests of safety please remember:
- DRIVEWAYS ARE FOR VEHICLE ACCESS ONLY.
- Pedestrian access to the school between 9am and 2.45pm will be the main gate on Davis Rd.
- The Preschool should only be accessed by the pedestrian gate on Davis Rd.
- No parent or student should be walking through the car park or the driveway gate on Richmond Rd to access the Preschool or the school.
If the other gates are closed, please use Davis Road gate. The students and staff appreciate your cooperation in keeping our students safe.
Collection of Students:
If, as parents, you are running late and unable to pick up your child, please telephone the school before 2.30pm so that alternative arrangements can be made for your child’s supervision. If you don’t or are unable to contact us, we make every effort to contact you, or the relative or friend you have nominated when enrolling your child. In the instance where we are unable to contact anyone, your child will be placed in our Out of School Hours Child Care facility, and a fee will be charged.
If your child requires supervision prior to 8.25am or after 2.50pm due to your personal / work commitments please contact Playhouse OSHC on 0414 629 935. Please note charges apply for this service.
