Other services

Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.

Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

At Marayong purchases for the canteen can be made online using your computer or mobile device by visiting Flexischools.

Flexischools is an online service that requires you to register and agree to the Terms and Conditions prior to placing any online orders. All canteen orders need to be placed before 9am to ensure your child receives it.

Canteen orders can also be made in person at the school canteen from 8.25am.

The canteen has a menu that has lots of healthy items. The canteen is phasing out the less healthy items and replacing them with fresh, natural ingredients that will be made from scratch on the premises. Although the new Healthy Canteen guidelines do not commence until 2020, as a community, we want to be the first in the region to make the changes. There are lots of amazing new foods that the kids will love.

“Healthy Canteens whole philosophy is to provide your children with healthy alternatives. Linda, our canteen lady, has built up great relationships with the community and all of the students, and it’s time to phase the non-healthy alternatives out of the canteen for good. Each day, the kids are so eager to try the fresh cooked food, and the sales of our healthy counter items have significantly increased, so the time is now to make the change. Healthy Canteens is only going to get better as we truly want what is best for our students”. Graham (Healthy Canteens Managing Director)

Please note that the egg items and optional egg additions WILL NOT be available for students of Marayong Public School due to the life-threatening risk to some students diagnosed as anaphylactic to egg/ egg products.

To see what options are available at the canteen please visit the canteen menu

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.
