Our preschool

Why choose our public preschool?

Our public preschool is a fee-free preschool at Marayong Public School. It’s an easy choice for local families with young children.

We give every child the start in early childhood education. At our preschool, children explore, ask questions and grow in a safe and caring place. Our friendly team helps each child learn and feel good through fun, hands-on play that builds confidence and curiosity.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our preschool. Contact us to talk to our team, book a tour or join our waitlist.

Preschool days and hours

Our preschool operates from 8:50am to 2:50pm during NSW Public School terms.

The children attend in two groups over a five-day fortnight to ensure each child has universal access to high quality early childhood education.

The children will attend in one designated group with the following attendance pattern:

A calendar showing your child’s days of attendance will be provided.

Fees

We do not charge fees to attend our preschool. NSW public preschools are funded by the NSW government.

Attendance

Public preschools enrol children for one year only, the year before they start school.

Children can enrol from the beginning of the school year if they turn 4 years of age before 31 July that year.

Meals

Children bring their own meals and snacks to preschool. For more information, please contact us.

How to enrol

Our Preschool program accepts children for one year only, in the year before they start school. To be eligible, children must turn 4 years old by July 31st of that year.

We offer a 5-day fortnight program during school hours, from 8:50am to 2:50pm, with only 40 places available in each program to ensure personalised attention and a quality learning experience.

Expressions of Interest open in February of the year before your child starts preschool. Please complete the Expression of Interest Form below and submit it to the school office.

Parents will be contacted in Term 4 to confirm placements for the following year. Before starting, new families are invited to attend an orientation session and a 'Get to Know You' partnership meeting to help children settle into preschool smoothly.

Enrolling in a preschool within a school does not guarantee a place at that school for Kindergarten.
